Get the best of both worlds by having a breast lift with augmentation
Higher? Rounder? Have you ever asked yourself these questions while standing in front of the mirror ‒ lifting your breasts to make them look perkier and fuller? Dr Alan Greenberg can give you both. A breast lift with augmentation or fat transfer will raise your breasts and fill out your figure.
You have three choices to increase the fullness of your breasts. You can consider the following:
Advantages of a breast lift with augmentation
Sometimes more is less, especially in the case of a breast lift, or mastopexy. If you have already decided that you want larger AND perkier breasts, then you can address your expectations with Dr. Greenberg and decide on the perfect size for your body and build. Since skin and breast tissue in the lower half of your breasts are removed during a breast lift, you may find yourself with uplifted ‒ but smaller than expected ‒ breasts without fullness above the nipple or in the upper pole. Augmentation or fat transfer can help restore the fullness and increase the size of your breasts after a lift.
The breast lift with augmentation surgical procedure
Once you’ve consulted with Dr. Greenberg and decided on your preferred method of augmentation, then you and Dr Greenberg will decide if a simultaneous augmentation and lift or a lift with a staged augmentation or fat transfer at least one month after the lift is the best option for you. There are advantages and disadvantages of performing a breast augmentation with your lift versus performing the breast augmentation or fat transfer at least one month after the lift. Dr Greenberg with discuss these options with you at your initial free consultation. Either way you will rid yourself of your saggy breasts and obtain the fullness you desire.
During the lift Dr. Greenberg will mark the ideal location for the nipple and incision sites before you undergo tumescent “awake” anesthesia and iv sedation. During the two to three hour breast lift procedure, Dr Greenberg will perform the following:
- Make the incision, remove skin and some breast tissue in the lower portion of your breast, raise the position of the natural nipple and decrease the size of the areola (the pigmented skin around the nipple)
- Insert the breast implant prior to the lift if simultaneous lift and augmentation are decided upon
- Reshape the breast tissue to correct the sag and shift the nipple to the site desired
- Utilize self-dissolving internal sutures to hold the breast tissue and skin in place
Combining a breast lift with a breast reduction?
For women who have large, sagging breasts and also desire a breast reduction, a breast lift with a reduction can be done at the same time. The uplifted shape and smaller size could be the solution you are seeking.
