Morpheus8 stimulates collagen production for tighter skin and a youthful appearance
Named after the Greek god of dreams, Morpheus8 is a minimally invasive treatment that combines micro-needling with radio frequency (RF) energy targeted below the epidermis to generate collagen. This results in tighter skin. Alan Greenberg MD offers this skin remodeling option to complement a host of services for clients who wish to improve their appearance and self-esteem. Our Frisco cosmetic surgeon provides this safe, aesthetic service in his office. Best of all, patients can drive themselves home after the procedure.
The versatile Morpheus8 treats multiple parts of the body
There are many ways to achieve tighter skin. Dr. Greenberg and the aestheticians at North Texas Cosmetic Surgery analyze each client’s unique needs before making recommendations. The Frisco cosmetic surgeon may suggest lipoabdominoplasty to eliminate a large amount of loose skin and excess fat, Renuvion® to tighten skin below the surface or fillers for minor wrinkles. The Morpheus8 can be used alone or with other procedures, such as liposuction. The following areas respond well to this type of skin remodeling.
- Periorbital areas around the eyes
- Acne scars
- Marionette lines
- Upper arms
- Abdomen and stretch marks
- Thighs and upper knees
Collagen stimulation leads to tighter skin
This award-winning device comes with a variety of modules designed for specific parts of the body. Special gold-tipped micro-needles equipped with burst mode RF technology can reach three levels in millisecond intervals. As a result, the generated heat stimulates the skin and subcutaneous fat to produce collagen and elastin to repair itself. In contrast, traditional micro-needling uses lower-grade needles that can actually damage the skin.
In addition to tighter skin, this treatment also offers several other benefits.
- Reduces treatment times
- Minimizes skin injury
- Increases treatment uniformity
- Works for most skin tones
To ensure patient comfort, our Frisco cosmetic surgeon and aestheticians will apply a medical-grade compounded numbing cream to your face before they begin. If the larger abdominal area is being treated, Dr. Greenberg may administer tumescent “awake” anesthesia. Patients can use the Zimmer cold air blower if they feel too warm. For those who get anxious during medical procedures, they can use our Pro-Nox™ nitrous gas.
Results appear within 3-4 weeks, and the skin appearance will gradually improve over three months. Patients will have slight redness and rough skin for a few days after the treatment. Makeup can be used after one to two days. Apply moisturizer to the treatment area and avoid direct sun exposure. As always, a broad-spectrum sunscreen should be applied every day.

Why Fad Diets Won’t Fix Those Problem Areas
Every few years, there’s a new fad diet guaranteed to drop the pounds, tone the muscles or burn the fat. The cabbage soup or apple cider vinegar drinks may work initially, but the results are often short lived. The truth is that fad diets don’t work to keep weight off long-term.
The Power of Two: Liposuction with Abdominoplasty Offers Added Satisfaction
As a skilled cosmetic surgeon, Dr. Alan Greenberg combines liposuction with his tummy tucks to enhance his patient’s results. He understands the desire to look and feel as good as possible.
A recent study looked at 360 patients undergoing liposuction and/or abdominoplasty to remove abdominal fat. Of those patients, about 35 percent underwent a combination of liposuction and abdominoplasty
