Treat yourself and schedule a holiday breast augmentation or breast lift

Decorating, parties and shopping can make the holidays hectic. You might feel like you’re too busy to work on your own wish list. However, if you always dream of having larger or perkier breasts, you don’t have to wait for Santa to surprise you with a holiday breast augmentation or breast lift. Dr. Alan Greenberg, our Frisco cosmetic surgeon, can explain your options.

Deciding on a holiday breast augmentation or breast lift – or both

Start by asking yourself whether you have an issue with a small chest or droopy breasts. Pregnancy, hormone changes, weight loss, age and genetics all play a role in the size and shape of your breasts. Here’s how to determine which procedure may be best for you.

  • Breast augmentation. Would you like to see full, round breasts and perhaps a little cleavage when you look in the mirror? A breast augmentation with silicone or saline implants can provide the fullness you seek.
  • Breast lift. Do your breasts appear to have flattened on the upper half or do the nipples point downward? Fibrous connective tissue holds your breasts in place and provide shaping, but it loosens over time. Our Frisco cosmetic surgeon can perform a breast lift (mastopexy) to remove excess skin and sculpt the breasts back into a natural position.

Recover before the holiday rush

If needed, Dr. Greenberg can perform a holiday breast augmentation or breast lift at the same time. Our Frisco cosmetic surgeon offers both procedures at our clinic. He uses local “awake” tumescent anesthesia, which is safer and less expensive than general anesthesia. You can communicate with the doctor during surgery, recover more quickly and return home the same day.

As with any surgical procedure, your breasts will be slightly swollen, bruised and sore. You will wear a surgical bra for several days after surgery and then transition to an athletic or sports bra until the swelling subsides. You can return to work in just a few days and should limit strenuous activities for a month.
